We live in the age of knock offs:. There are in major cities industries selling fake luxury items. For example the Fauxexe watch: a knock off of the Rolex watch.  A Rolex can cost a small fortune., but you can get a Fauxexe for just 10 bucks.
They look real, so long as you don’t look too closely.  But don’t rely on one to keep accurate time.
These fake items exist only because somewhere there are real items.  If it were not for the real thing, there be no market for the pretenders.
The same can be said of so much of what passes for Christianity. Some look real, so long as you don’t look too closely.  Let’s be real.
